TYPES OF BRIDGES:
Bridges are classified by road classification according to the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Public Works, Republic of Indonesia, as follows:
a. Class A Permanent Bridge
Designed as a permanent bridge with a total bridge width of 9 m (7 m road body and 1 m sidewalk width (right-left)) that uses BM - 100 traffic loads (100% according to loading in Loading Specifications for Bridges & Highways No. 12 / 1970 (1988 Revision).
b. Class B Permanent Bridge
Designed as a permanent bridge with a total bridge width of 7 m (road body 6 m and sidewalk width 0.5 m (right-left)) that uses BM - 100 traffic loads (100% according to loading in Loading Specifications for Bridges & Highways No. 12/1970 (Revised 1988).
c. Class C Permanent Bridge
Designed as a permanent bridge with a total bridge width of 4.5 m (3.5 m road body and 0.5 m sidewalk width (right-left)) that uses BM - 70 traffic loads (70% according to the loading in the Loading Specification for Bridge & Highway No 12/1970 (Revised 1988).
STANDARD DESIGN:
a. Bridge Design BMS 1992 (Bridge Management System) Directorate of Highways, Ministry of Public Works.
b. Standard Specifications for Bridges & Roads AASHTO 1992 Edition 15 (American Association of State and Transportations Officials).
MATERIAL SPECIFICATION :
a. Main Structure: High Tensile Steel (JIS SM-490 or equivalent).
b. Secondary Structure: High Tensile Steel (JIS SM-400 or equivalent).
c. Bolts & Washer: A-325 or equivalent grade 8.8.
d. Weld: In accordance with AWS (American Welding Standard) with E70xx or E60xx electrodes adapted to welded steel material.
e. Protection: Hot Dip Galvanized or Zinc Rich Paint with a minimum thickness of 100 Micron or on request.
f. Elastometric Pad: Rubber or synthetic with hardness of 55 +/- 5 and internal layer of SS-400 steel plate.
